Transformers Painting LLC
wants to answer your questions.

  • We use low or no VOC paint. What does this mean?
The term VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds which are a wide range of carbon based molecules, present in the air and in materials, that are not environment-friendly. Paints contain VOCs, but reducing or eliminating the level creates environment-friendly paints.
  • What paints qualify as low or no VOC paint?
Low VOC latex flat paint must contain less than 250 g/L. VOC Free Paint must contain less than 5G/L. Paints that carry the GREEN seal, guaranteed to meet precise environmental standards, must have VOC contents of 100G/L for a non flat finish and 50 G/L for a flat finish.
  • Why is it important to apply the proper amount or proper millage when painting?
Applying paint evenly and using multiple coats is important to achieve the proper coverage and protection. The proper millage, which is the thickness of each coat, is important for exterior applications. We use a tool called a mil gauge to measure the mil thickness and enure proper millage.
  • What areas do you serve?
